Ernest Hemingway is touted as an economical writer. An often-told tale has it that he wrote a brilliant story in just six words. Maybe it’s true, maybe not.
My friend Morris, though, is definitely an economical writer. He’s a literary miser, hoarding words so they don’t get overused. He turns literature into bumper stickers. Or maybe it’s the other way around.
